Lukas Barker (aka Nyx) has been making costumes since 2013, when he stepped into the cosplay scenes at local conventions. He decided to pursue costume making professionally in 2018, and completed his Bachelor of Creative Arts (Costume Design) in 2022 at Flinders University and Tafe SA. Since completing his degree he has gone on to work on private commissions and local SA theatre shows. He has designed and made costumes for SCCAS (The South Coast Choral & Arts Society) shows like ‘Disney’s Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, and ‘Gypsy’.
